OUR FAVORITE SOUTHEAST CAR SHOWS & FESTIVALS
We sure to have some fun ones in the lineup for you! Everything from street racing to pickle eating is covered for your events to plan for. When you think of spring, think of strawberries, 5k fun runs, live music outdoors, and car shows. This line up of family-friendly events are sure to make good memories for you and your family. There is no shortage of things to do.
Start the month off with some cool car shows.
In early April, the Southeast Street Rod Nationals is happening in the Florida State Fairgrounds. Pack your car and plan a road trip to this show, because you are bound to have a blast. In addition to all the cool hot-rods, there is a swap meet to vend your wares, treasures and see what others have that you might not be able to live without. There is also the Women’s World exhibitors on display. Don’t be daunted by their name; this group of artists have things for every walk of life to enjoy. This event runs from Friday, April 3rd - Sunday, April 5th.
Plan your weekend adventure a bit more local with the Cruise-in in Cherokee, NC, on April 10th. Located at 2093 Tsali Blvd Cherokee, NC, this event is filled with old school fun. There is a live DJ, food vendors, and auto parts to carouse while you are taking in all the cool old cars.
Weekend of April 11th, plan to enjoy the Old Car Show in Hickory, NC If you are looking for a smaller down-home feel, this event is for you. This old car show features family-friendly folks and an excellent array of cars and trucks to look at. Be careful kicking the tires though, folks tend to love their vehicles :)
April 16-18 is The Pigeon Forge spring rod run is located at the newly renovated Blue Ridge Harley Davidson and is not to be missed! This event has big cash prizes that draw a neat crowd of classic cars from far and wide. You will find yourself nestled within a hugs swap meet hundreds of car enthusiasts and more food and vending than you can shake a stick at. Blue Ridge Harley Davidson hosts this car show, and they know how to throw a bash! There will be more fun and entertainment than you know what to do with. April 18th the Atlanta Dragway has a racing series. If you are into racing, the Summit Series Bracket Racing is going on and is a lot of fun to watch; the raceway is located in Commerce, GA. This fast and fun event is not for the faint of heart. So, pack up your family and bring some earplugs, because you are going to be amid smoking tires, a slick track and a lot of impressive cars.
April 25th is an entertaining, family-friendly event. Have you heard of the North Carolina Pickle Festival? This fun and family-friendly event is located in Mout Olive, NC. There are so many fun things happening! Enter in a 5k night run where you wear glow lights and get cheered on by the pickle crowd. There is a beer garden and, of course, a pickle eating contest to keep you energy up. With live music, vendors, and a BMX bike expose, there is no shortage of fun to be had. Have you heard about the Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival? This special event is located on Market Stage Street in Portland, TN. They have a steady stream of concerts, a story hour, high school wrestling, a golf tournament, fireworks, a parade, and a magic show.
