AC Auto Service Warranty

Warranty Information

AC Automotive is a premium service provider, offering an industry-topping 3-year, 36,000-mile limited warranty on repairs for parts and labor. This warranty covers the replaced parts and does not cover associated items unless stated otherwise. The value of this warranty will not exceed the value of repairs performed. This warranty does not apply to wearable items or items with designed obsolescence, such as windshield wipers, brake pads, shock absorbers, etc.


Diagnostics are NOT warranted unless AC Automotive performs associated repairs. Repairs considered testing or diagnostics carry no warranty without an associated repair. All repairs are warranted against defects in material and quality of workmanship. Wear and tear from normal use and/or abuse will not be warranted. Vehicles used for commercial purposes or are 1-ton trucks/vans and larger will carry a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty with similar stipulations as previously stated. 


Used parts will carry a 6-month parts and labor warranty when used. Factory catalytic converters will carry our standard warranty, but any aftermarket catalytic converters will carry a 6-month warranty. Our shop must inspect all warranty claims to determine coverage. No warranty claims will be paid to an outside facility or customer without prior notification and authorization from management. Continued vehicle operation with an issue will void the warranty on repairs. Additional damage from the continued operation is NOT warranted.


This warranty does not cover a lack of regular maintenance. If it is determined unreasonable to bring your vehicle back to this facility for warranty repairs. In that case, we may require retaining old parts and/or photos of the affected area. Warranty payments will only be made to the repairing facility. Customer reimbursement must be preauthorized. This warranty is not transferable to the new owners if you sell your vehicle.  If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!   

Road Hazard

AC Auto offers road hazard protection as a benefit to our customers and the protection of their tire investment. Tires can often be a significant vehicle purchase, so protecting that asset against unwanted or unexpected damage is essential. This contract lays out the responsibilities of both parties to ensure the optimum service life of your tires.


In the event of damage to your tires, defined as either a defect in materials or the tire’s inability to hold air, we will repair or replace the tire free of charge based on our sole discretion as industry professionals. If a tire needs replacement, should an identical tire not be available, we will, at our sole discretion, replace the tire with a product of similar characteristics and qualities but not necessarily the same brand. This Road Hazard Contract only applies to the tire purchased with a road hazard contract. In the event of tire replacement, the customer would need to purchase another tire contract to cover the replacement tire.


Road Hazards are defined as something causing damage to the tire, such as a pothole, debris (nails, screws, glass, branches, etc.), or any other item not normally found in the roadway. The road hazard contract does NOT cover damage or loss resulting from a collision, including curb impact or scrubbing, vandalism, damage from snow chains, or off-road use.


Proper care is also required for coverage to be applied. Proper tire pressure must be maintained at all times. It will NOT be covered if you have flat or low tire damage from continued operation. In this instance, the original contract purchase price will be applied to purchasing a new tire at retail value but will not cover the consequential damage.  Tires with irregular wear patterns will NOT be replaced under this contract if they are still holding air. Damage to tires resulting from faulty equipment on your vehicle will not be coverable.


This contract will remain in force for 4 years from the date of purchase or until any point of the tread surface of the tire has less than 3/32” of tread depth, or a wear bar of the tire touches the road surface.


In the event of a tire failure and inability to return to AC Auto with the vehicle and tire, you will have five business days to contact AC Auto and submit the necessary documentation to determine coverage. Necessary documentation required for the most favorable decision includes a photo of the vehicle and tire in question, a photo of specific damage to the tire, a photo of a tread depth measurement, and the repair company’s invoice. Based on your information, we will determine whether the repair company’s repair or replacement was justified. In the event of a tire repair, we will reimburse the customer for the repair up to the current repair price at AC Auto. In the event of a tire replacement, we will reimburse the customer for the tire and installation charges but cannot enter into a road hazard contract for the tire replaced elsewhere. If a tire we deem reasonably repairable was replaced elsewhere, you will receive a refund for the road hazard contract’s original purchase price only.
